Silver Mountain Ski Patrol

Silver Mountain Ski Patrol Mountain Safety and Rescue since 1967. We're a diverse group, passionate about serving our mountain community. And we have a freaking blast doing it.

Our well-trained team offers support as medical first responders, search and rescue, and hill safety. We are the ski patrol for Silver Mountain Resort and are composed of two membership arms; career patrollers and volunteer patrollers. Both arms have active membership with the National Ski Patrol. Career patrollers and some volunteer patrollers are also active members of the Association of Professional Patrollers.

Did you miss us? šŸ‘€

The snow may be gone, but moon dust season is officially upon us. While the skis and boards are put away, weā€™re gearing up for a summer packed with events and weā€™re excited to welcome back to town on June 6th & 7th!

Weā€™ll be hosting a fundraiser for our volunteer ski patrol with support from the incredible NAEC crew. Come hang out, grab some food and drinks, and help support the patrol that helps keep our mountain community safe all winter & summer long.

šŸŽŸļø Weā€™ll also be holding a raffle with some seriously awesome prizes. Rumor has it thereā€™s even a 4-bike rack from up for grabs!

Events like these help make our season happen, and we couldnā€™t do it without the support of our community, sponsors, racers, and volunteers.

We canā€™t wait to see everyone there! šŸ»šŸšµā€ā™‚ļøā›°ļø

Today (04/11/2026) marks the last day of winter operations for the 2025ā€“2026 season. Itā€™s been one of the most interesting seasons on record!

We struggled to get enough snow to open in December, then lost much of it during Januaryā€™s atmospheric river. February brought enough coverage to open 100% of the terrain, followed by an absolutely historic storm in Marchā€¦only for all 42 inches to melt within the next seven days.

That left us limited to Chairs 1 and 2, plus the carpet.

So many curveballs, and so many guest interactions along the way. To every person who took the time to thank our patrollers, we truly appreciate you.

Well shoot! After last weekends nuking of snow itā€™s melted away, and it has melted away fast! Weā€™ve been limited down to chairs 1,2 and carpet. Miracle March didnā€™t last that long. Spring is here, itā€™s sunny today! Get out and get some turns in.
