Would you guys like to see a [sped up] video of how our bed is made?? It takes a while and is funny at times.

Back in our slip!! Our finger pier and part of the dock is strong and bonus, smells great. Ready for the storm season! ⛵️

We had to move our sailboat for some much needed repairs to our finger pie, it was in rough shape. The guys did a great job and the dock in front of our floating home where an electrical box was, was also replaced. All set for the storm season!!! The guys said everything is strong and safe. Looks beautiful!! An added plus… the marina has been paying for our electricity since we had to move. Not gonna complain about that! ⛵️

COUSA day!! One of our marina neighbors came up to help cut the cousa to fit the V berth! With a bit of help from a jigsaw and trying to work before the fog and rain it was easy going…after staging. Big step!

Foam is cut to form a template for when our cousa gets here!!! V-Berth IS going to get done, at least the platform, then we can do more demo and have more room. With the cold it’s difficult to do much, even with a heater. Room is a luxury - you have to shuffle everything around just to do anything. Work in progress.

While one of us was doing laundry, the other one of us was taking the boom off in preparation for our haul out!

Our newest addition!! It’s a car refrigerator/freezer; it holds over 3cuft which will help make our lives easier now and in the long run. We still plan on building one once we get that far, but for now, it’s a game changer!! The other pictures are from the sunsets and full moon - it didn’t turn strawberry yet. ⛵️

Marketplace is a great thing! New electric panels - they stuff have the plastic on them; a bit of clean up and replacing a few little things and we are set!! One more step in the right direction.

Switched out our dock lines for 1in with new chaff guards; the old ones show why we use them and the abuse they can take. Hurricane season starts tomorrow…trying to be prepared. Added new larger fenders as well!! Not bad for a Saturday morning!

Lowest tide we’ve seen all year!! If we had a way to get up and the day off it would be a great day to inspect and clean the rudder & hull!!

Low tide day, but bright and sunny means time to tackle a boat project!!! Windlass needed to come off so we could inspect it..after some pounding - aka persuasion with a hammer and screwdriver, a few shots of WD-40, some judicious swearing it came off… and the gear oil as well!! Mission accomplished!!
