KWAC just finished its first Youth Summer Camp and it was truly magical. Each afternoon was filled with a different hand-powered watersport. The afternoon began with camp Director Jen leading off a different icebreaker from building with marshmallows and toothpicks to painting to water balloon races. Then there was an introduction to each sport so Monday was kayak, Tuesday was outrigger canoe, Wednesday was stand-up paddleboard, and Thursday was dragon boat. Then there was a warm-up, followed by snacks and then out on the water. The end of the week was capped off by the 10 youth, deciding what they wanted to do sport wise and then a wonderful picnic and sharing a friendships that I believe, began capped off the week.

Had a great turn out for KWAC’s Annual Barbecue/Potluck and Paddle to watch Kenmore’s 4th fireworks show. Two 20-person dragon boats and 3-OC6’s paddled out to have an up close view of the show. So fun to come together and socialize!!
