The Kennebunk Beach Improvement Association is 112-year-old summer program for ages 2 to 17. We offer recreational and enrichment classes, from swimming, surfing and sailing, to golf and tennis, arts and crafts and some 50 more offerings in between. TONIGHT! 🗓️ After successful meetings with both the Planning and Select Boards over the last few weeks, KBIA is now scheduled for Public Hearing at 6:30 PM Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Kennebunk Town Hall. Please get out to support us in the final step toward putting the necessary ordinance amendment on the ballot for Kennebunk voters this November, allowing us to re-build a new Smith House.

Public comments on the issue will be permitted so it’s important our voices be heard. Can;t make it? Please email the Select Board, c/o Bryan Laverriere, Town Manager at [email protected] and copy KBIA at [email protected]. Thank you.

And just like that, another KBIA summer is in the books. 💙

Thank you for filling KBIAland with laughter, friendship, courage, creativity, sandy feet, wet towels and so many moments we wish we could bottle up and keep forever.

As backpacks replace beach bags and everyone heads back to school, work and the routines of fall, we hope a little piece of this summer stays with you — the friendships made, the things you tried, the confidence you gained and the simple joy of being a kid by the sea.
