We are very proud to announce that longtime AABD senior and Ballet Southeast company member Katie Haigh will be joining Alabama Ballet’s Studio Company for the 2026–2027 season! We look forward to the many professional opportunities that await her in Birmingham.

Katie’s fantastic use of dynamics, along with the energy and excitement she brings to each performance, leaves us captivated every time. Her notable roles include Aurora, Odile, Snow Queen, Ghost of Christmas Future, and many others.

While she will be deeply missed, we are eager to watch her continue to sprinkle her ballerina sparkle throughout all of her upcoming adventures!

We are thrilled to announce that longtime AABD senior student and Ballet Southeast company member Morgan Burchette will be attending the University of South Carolina this fall!

Morgan will be working toward both a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance & Choreography and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialization in Microbiology. We are especially proud to share that she will also be a member of the Betsy Blackmon Dance Company at UofSC, and that she has been awarded both an academic merit scholarship and a dance talent scholarship. Watching her follow not one, but two of her greatest passions is truly inspiring.

Over the years, we have been in awe of Morgan’s beautiful quality of movement and her ability to make even the most challenging choreography appear effortless. Her notable roles include The Sugarplum Fairy, Odette, the Lilac Fairy, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and many others.
We will miss her dearly, but we cannot wait to see all that this next chapter holds for her!

It is with great joy that we announce longtime AABD student and Ballet Southeast company member Caitlyn Dunn will be joining Ballet Magnificat! as an upper-level Trainee for the 2026–2027 season! Caitlyn is honored to have the opportunity to serve God while pursuing the gift He has given her.

Throughout numerous productions, Caitlyn has graced our stage with her exquisite lines and captivating artistry. Her notable roles include Odette, Giselle, Aurora, the Ghost of Christmas Past, and many others!

While we will miss her dearly, we are thrilled to follow along as her dance journey sets sail into the professional world. A bright and fruitful career lies ahead!

Congrats to our Pre-Professional dancer, Morgan Burchette, who will be attending not just one, but two prestigious summer programs!

Morgan will attend the Vaganova International Program which focuses on classical Vaganova training and individual artistic development.

In addition, Morgan has been accepted to train this summer with the world-renowned The Royal Ballet in London, one of the most prestigious classical ballet institutions in the world.

A full summer of travel, growth, and incredible experiences ahead, congratulations Morgan! We are so proud of you! ✨
