Johnston finished the four-day event with a staggering 113 pounds, 12 ounces, earning his second Bassmaster Elite Series title, a coveted Century Belt, and the $100,000 first-place prize. His margin of victory over second place was an incredible 19 pounds, 12 ounces.

Kill switch must be attached to the driver and Life Jackets securely fastened anytime the big motor is running.

Frogs:

· ONLY SPRO FROGS MAY BE USED AND MUST BE WORKED ON THE SURFACE.

· FROGS MAY NOT BE ALTERED IN COLOR IN ANY WAY

· YOU MAY OPEN THE HOOKS

· YOU MAY TRIM THE LEGS

· YOU MAY ADD RATTLES

· YOU MAY ADD A SPLIT RING

· YOU MAY USE NON COLOR CHANGING SCENT.

· OTHER THAN WHAT IS MENTIONED ABOVE NO MODIFICATIONS MAY BE MADE. FROGS MUST REMAIN STOCK. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Fish:

· 5 fish 13” mouth closed tail pinched on a flat board

· Dead fish is a .50lb deduction off TOTAL WEIGHT

· Short fish is a 1lb deduction plus loss of fish

Off-limits:

· Lake Havasu State Park South launch ramp from the point directly South of the ramp to the point to the West of the ramp.

· Within 50’ of a gas pump

· 25 yards from another boat first anchored with the trolling motor up

· Any area marked “No Entry” by local, state, or federal officials

· Watch the “No Wake Zones” especially in Topock. Once you leave the main river channel going into Topock it is NO WAKE the entire length of the channel.

Little John 50 Leads to Victory!

Paul Marks once again showcased his mastery of herring fisheries, capturing his second career Bassmaster Elite Series victory at Lake Murray with a key assist from the legendary SPRO USA Little John 50 squarebill crankbait.
The Cu***ng, Georgia pro secured the win at at Lake Murray with a four-day total of 90 pounds, 14 ounces, earning the $100,000 top prize and his second blue trophy in just over a year. While Marks mixed techniques throughout the event, it was a critical final-day adjustment with the SPRO Little John 50 that helped turn the tournament in his favor.
Fishing on one of the country’s premier blueback herring lakes, Marks relied on years of experience chasing pelagic bass to make the right adjustments throughout changing weather conditions and shifting fish behavior. Championship Sunday began slowly, however, as several of his key offshore areas failed to produce.
“Today was just spectacular, it was one of those days you dream of,” Marks said. “Everything went perfectly.”
Instead of forcing the pattern, Marks trusted his instincts and made a pivotal move to a riprap pattern where the SPRO Little John 50 quickly produced the quality bites he needed to make a charge.
