YOUR DIET, YOUR WAY ☕️

I’m sure at some point in your life, you’ve followed one of the thousands of diets recommended by a friend, book, influencer or someone online—and white-knuckled your way through it until you couldn’t take it anymore.

Here’s the truth: All diets work…until they don’t.

Any diet that produces weight loss works by creating a consistent calorie deficit. So why not design an approach you can actually enjoy—one that includes the foods you love and can realistically maintain?

Stop believing the noise and nonsense that certain foods automatically cause X, Y or Z.

Build your diet around:

✨ Nourishing foods that support your health
✨ Satisfying foods that keep you full
✨ “Soul foods” that bring you genuine enjoyment
✨ An overall calorie intake that aligns with your goals

There is no trophy for making your diet more restrictive or miserable than it needs to be.

Here’s coffee my way:

☕️ 1 cup of coffee
🎃 2 tablespoons pumpkin-pie whipped cream
✨ A sprinkle of cinnamon

20 calories. Boom.

Your diet doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s—it just needs to work for your body, your goals and your real life.

Fed up with silly diets, confusing rules and constantly starting over? Learn how to eat on your own terms in a way that supports your goals and fits your real life.

🍫 CHEAT CODE FOR YOUR SWEET TOOTH

Craving something sweet during the week? This is one of my favorite low-calorie, fiber-packed desserts—and it takes about two minutes to make!

Sweet, satisfying, and nearly half your daily fiber goal! Proof that you don’t have to eliminate dessert to support your goals—you just need a few smart options in your back pocket.

Save this one for your next sweet-tooth craving!

🍫🫐 Chocolate-Covered Blackberry Overnight Oats

F**k food noise. 😂 As someone who had plenty of it when I was young, dumb, and chubby—I get it.

How to conquer food noise in 4 steps:

1. Educate yourself. It’s actually pretty rare to come across someone who truly understands proper nutrition. Most of us have been tainted by some form of diet dogma and have very little idea how to properly nourish our bodies.
2. Stop with the crazy 1,200-calorie diets. You white-knuckle it for 3–4 days, binge over the weekend, feel like you “blew it,” and start all over again Monday. That cycle isn’t working.
3. Trigger satiety with protein + fiber based on YOUR needs. Not mine. Not your friend’s. Not some influencer’s. YOURS.
4. Eat foods you actually love that also support your health—and leave room for the soul-fun foods, too. Think 80–90% nourishment and 10–20% flexibility. That’s real life.

And THIS 👇 is how you kickstart your day:

✨ 44g protein to support muscle growth + recovery
✨ 21.4g fiber to support a healthy gut microbiome, cholesterol levels + blood sugar regulation
✨ No added sugar
✨ Protein + fiber = a powerful combination for satiety and quieting food noise

And remember—if you’re lifting weights, you need to FEED the muscle you’re working so hard to build. Strong bodies aren’t built on workouts alone. 💪

BUSY DAY LUNCH: Keep. It. Simple. 🥪🍎

When I have a packed day of training clients and need something I can grab and take on the road, THIS is what lunch can look like.

No elaborate meal prep. No complicated recipe. Just real food that checks the boxes.

🥪 Turkey Sandwich

* 2 slices Ezekiel sprouted-grain bread
* 3 oz Applegate Farms turkey breast
* Sliced tomato + mixed greens
* .4 oz Kerrygold cheese
* Spicy whole-grain mustard

🍎 1 small apple

Approximate meal totals:
🔥 ~395 calories
💪 ~32g protein
🌾 ~55g carbohydrates
🥑 ~6g fat
🌱 ~10–11g fiber

This is exactly what I mean when I tell my clients that healthy eating does NOT need to be complicated.

Protein? ✔️
High-fiber carbohydrates? ✔️
Fruit + veggies? ✔️
A little fat? ✔️
Portable and takes about 5 minutes to make? ✔️

One of the best skills you can develop is having 3–5 simple, balanced meals on rotation that you can throw together without thinking.

Because when life gets busy, you don’t need more recipes.

You need a SYSTEM.

Keep it simple. Keep it balanced. Make it fit your life. 💪

Simple Summer Dinners ☀️

During a busy workweek, I love keeping my meals incredibly simple.

I’ll batch-cook a few of my favorite whole grains, such as a mixed brown and wild rice blend, and keep a fresh cold salad ready in the refrigerator. This cucumber, cherry tomato, and basil salad is simply tossed with balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper.

When it’s time for dinner, I season a salmon fillet with Kinder’s Cherry Chipotle seasoning and pop it into the air fryer. In less than 10 minutes, I have a balanced, satisfying meal filled with protein, fiber-rich carbohydrates, colorful produce, and healthy fats.

Healthy eating does not have to be complicated. A little preparation makes it much easier to put a nourishing dinner on the table—even on your busiest days.

What’s on the plate

* 4-ounce air-fried salmon fillet
* ½ cup cooked mixed brown and wild rice
* 1 cup cucumber, cherry tomato, and basil salad
* Balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper
* Kinder’s Cherry Chipotle seasoning

Approximate macros

Calories: 395–410
Protein: 29–31 g
Carbohydrates: 34–36 g
Fiber: 5 g
Fat: 16–17 g

Macros may vary slightly depending on the salmon and rice blend used.

Liberation 🥜Begins with Education.

One of the most empowering things you can do for your health isn’t following another diet…

It’s learning what you’re actually eating.

I can’t tell you how many men and women walk into my practice believing they’re eating a “high-protein” diet, only to discover they don’t yet understand the difference between protein, fats, and carbohydrates.

Let’s use peanut butter as an example.

Most people think:
🥜 “Peanut butter is a great source of protein.”

Here’s the reality:

2 tablespoons contain:
• 180 calories
• 16g fat
• 8g protein
• 7g carbohydrates

Yes, it contains protein…
But the majority of its calories come from fat.

That makes peanut butter a fat source with some protein—not a primary protein source.

The same concept applies to foods like:
✔️ Beans
✔️ Lentils
✔️ Chickpeas
✔️ Quinoa

Do they contain protein?
Absolutely.

But from a macronutrient standpoint, they’re primarily carbohydrate foods that also provide some (incomplete) protein.

This isn’t about labeling foods as “good” or “bad.”

I love peanut butter.
I eat beans.
I enjoy quinoa.

The goal isn’t to avoid these foods…

The goal is to understand them.

When you understand where your calories are coming from, you stop guessing. You stop wondering why you’re “eating healthy” but not seeing the body composition changes you’re working so hard for.

More importantly, understanding your macros allows you to build balanced meals that include quality protein, fiber-rich carbohydrates, and healthy fats. That’s the combination that promotes satiety, helps quiet the constant food noise, supports stable blood sugar, provides steady energy, and gives your body the nutrients it needs to build muscle, recover, and thrive.

Knowledge creates awareness. Awareness creates confidence. Confidence creates consistency. And consistency changes your body.

❤️ Eat the peanut butter.
🥄 Enjoy the quinoa.
🫘 Have the beans.

Just know what role each food plays on your plate!

Control what you can. ✈️💪

I love traveling, experiencing new cultures, trying local food, and enjoying the cuisine that makes each place special.

But let’s be honest — eating every single meal out gets old. It can also leave you feeling puffy, sluggish, low on protein, and a little off from your normal rhythm.

That’s exactly why we love staying in an Airbnb for part of our trips.

It gives us the ability to start the day with something simple, nourishing, familiar, and balanced — without overcomplicating it.

A quick stop at the local grocery store for a few staples makes all the difference:

🍌 Bananas
🥚 Eggs
🥚 Egg whites
🌾 Rolled oats
🥜 Natural peanut butter

🧈 Banana Protein Pancakes

Recipe:

Mash together:

1 small banana
1 whole egg
4 egg whites
½ cup rolled oats

Mix well, then cook in a pan like pancakes.

Top with:

1 tbsp natural peanut butter
A little sugar-free jelly, berries, or cinnamon if you want extra flavor

Macros for this meal:

Approx. 482 calories
31g protein
58g carbs
16g fat
8g fiber

Simple. Satisfying. High-protein. Fiber-rich.

This isn’t about being rigid on vacation. It’s about controlling what you can so you can enjoy the rest of the day with more energy, better digestion, and zero guilt when you go out later for the foods you really want to experience.

Healthy travel doesn’t mean perfect travel.

It means having a few anchors in place.
