NeuroFascia Stretch Therapy (NFST)
NFST = FST + NFT (Nerve Floss Technique)
NeuroFascia Stretch Therapy (NFST) is an advanced fusion of Fascia Stretch Therapy techniques founded by Anne and Chris Frederick. (FST) and the Michael Hamm Nerve Floss Technique (NFT). This innovative blend unites fascial stretching, neuromuscular release, and nerve mobility restoration, creating a system that restores balance between structure and function.
facilitates , enhances communication, and promotes structural integration throughout the entire kinetic chain.
Major Benefits of FST (Frederick Stretch Therapy)
* Expands joint space and mobility without pain
* natural fascial glide and hydration
* Improves posture and corrects compensatory strain patterns
* circulation, lymphatic flow, and tissue recovery
* the spine and major joints
* Stimulates the nervous system for deep relaxation
* Reduces chronic tension and enhances movement efficiency
Major Benefits of NFT (Nerve Floss Technique)
* Mobilizes entrapped or hypersensitive nerve roots
* Restores optimal neural glide and conductivity
* Reduces nerve-related pain, tingling, and radiating sensations
* Improves communication between the central and peripheral nervous systems
* Promotes faster recovery from trauma, surgery, or repetitive strain
* Integrates the fascial, muscular, and neural systems for total-body harmony
* Provides long-term postural and movement freedom
Why Strength Training Is Essential as We Age

Why Strength Training Is Essential as We Age
After age 30, we lose an average of 3-8% of muscle mass per decade, totaling nearly 40% by age 70 without intervention. Strength training preserves independence, protects joints, improves balance, and reduces fall risk. Muscle is metabolic medicine— it regulates blood sugar, supports hormone balance, and enhances cognitive function.
Banded Mobility: "Rehab Gold"
Banded mobility training provides traction, decompression, and neuromuscular stability —helping the body regain alignment and coordination. It improves joint centration, rehydrates fascia, and enhances neuromuscular activation, serving as a bridge between rehab and strength.
The Pillars of Longevity & Recovery
Hydration: Fascia thrives on fluid. Every 1% drop in hydration can reduce muscle performance by up to 10%. Drink half your body weight in ounces daily.
Sleep: Muscle repair, nerve recovery, and hormone regulation occur during deep sleep. Prioritize 7-9 hours nightly for optimal healing and regeneration.
"When the nervous system and fascial system reconnect, the body remembers how to heal itself."

WEIGHT LIFTING VS CARDIO FACTS :

Lifting weights often burns more fat over the long term than cardio—not because the workout itself always burns more calories in the moment (steady-state cardio can actually burn more during the session), but because of what happens after and how your body changes over time. Here’s the breakdown:

1. Muscle is metabolically active tissue
• More muscle = higher resting metabolic rate (RMR)
Every pound of muscle burns roughly 6–10 calories per day just to maintain itself, even while you’re resting.
• If you build 5–10 lbs of muscle from weight training, you could burn 30–100 extra calories every single day without doing anything more—this adds up to thousands per year.

2. The Afterburn Effect (EPOC)
• Weightlifting—especially heavy, compound lifts—causes Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC).
• After lifting, your body works for 24–48 hours repairing muscle fibers, replenishing glycogen, and restoring hormonal balance—burning extra calories the whole time.
• Cardio (unless it’s very high-intensity intervals) has a much smaller afterburn window, usually 1–3 hours.

3. Hormonal Advantage
• Strength training boosts growth hormone, testosterone, and IGF-1—all of which help burn fat and preserve muscle.
• Steady-state cardio in large amounts can sometimes increase cortisol (a stress hormone) and lead to muscle breakdown if not paired with strength work.

4. Fat Loss vs. Weight Loss
• Cardio burns calories, but it doesn’t necessarily tell your body what to burn—fat or muscle.
• Weight training sends a signal to hold onto muscle and burn more fat during a calorie deficit.
• People who only do cardio while dieting often lose muscle and fat, which lowers their metabolism and makes regaining weight easier.

5. Long-Term Shape Change
• Even if the scale moves slowly, lifting recomposes your body—more muscle, less fat—leading to a lean, toned look.
• Cardio alone can make you a smaller version of the same shape; strength training changes your silhouette.

In short:
• Cardio = burns calories during the workout.
• Weightlifting = burns calories during + after, builds muscle, raises metabolism, and shifts the body toward fat-burning mode for the long haul.

If you want, I can give you a side-by-side 12-month fat loss projection showing why someone doing mostly weights often ends up leaner than someone doing only cardio. Would you like me to run that?
