The Pasco Duals will be held July 6-8. Thanks to everyone's fundraising efforts, the cost of camp has been fully covered for our wrestlers.
A few additional notes:
Weigh-Ins: Wrestlers will weigh in once on Monday morning. There are no daily weigh-ins after that.
A 3-pound allowance has been added to all weight classes. This means the effective weight classes are: 101, 109, 116, 123, 129, 135, 141, 147, 153, 160, 168, 178, 193, 218, and 288 lbs.
Transportation: Wrestlers are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from camp each day. Please make arrangements in advance to ensure they arrive on time each morning and have a ride home after camp.
Lunch: The Pasco School District will provide lunch each day. However, since it is a school lunch, you may want to pack snacks and/or an alternate lunch if your wrestler is a picky eater or has a larger appetite.
Uniform: Wrestlers are not required to wear a singlet, but they are welcome to if they prefer.
Match Opportunities: Our goal is to get every wrestler as many matches as possible. If we have multiple wrestlers in the same weight class, that can make scheduling more difficult. When possible, we will ask opposing teams if their wrestlers are willing to wrestle additional matches, and they are usually happy to do so.
Schedule Conflicts: If your wrestler needs to leave during the day (for example, for Driver's Education) and return later, that is perfectly fine. We simply want our wrestlers to get as many matches as possible. The most important thing is communication. Please let a coach know ahead of time if your wrestler will be arriving late, leaving early, or returning during the day.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thanks, and we're looking forward to a great few days of wrestling!
