Competition was GREAT. All three took 1st in their weight class & category, and hit PRs!🥇 It takes an insane amount of consistency in the gym and kitchen to do this, and they’ve all worked really hard for it. We (Amanda & Tim) couldn’t be more proud.

Caiden (Teen III; 100kg; second comp! 👏)
Squat: 215 kg/ 473 lbs
Bench: 105 kg/ 231 lbs
Deadlift: 200 kg/ 440 lbs
Total: 520 kg/ 1146 lbs

Jeronimo (Junior; 100 kg; FIRST COMP! 👏)
Squat: 225 kg/ 496 lbs
Bench: 130 kg/ 286
Deadlift: 225 kg/ 496 lbs
Total: 580 kg/ 1278 lbs

Tim (Masters I; 90kg; comp no. 46 or 52 maybe?)
Squat: 205 kg/ 451 lbs
Bench: 137.5 kg/ 303 lbs
Deadlift: 250 kg/ 551 lbs
Total: 592.5 kg/ 1306 lbs

And thank you to Joshua, Ethan, white Joshua, Ezra, Nick, and Jacob for coming out to support! In the best way, we were a legit gang of average joes representing TCBC. It’s a trip to have this much support, and we’re always humbled by it.

A TREMENDOUS THANK YOU 👏 to everyone who supported us through the t-shirt fundraiser, with well wishes, and gifts for trip snacks (or pizza)!

These dudes are ready to compete this weekend, and t-shirts are ready for the mail! For those picking up, they’ll be ready at the gym on Monday.

Here’s to safe travels this weekend, white lights ⚪️⚪️⚪️, and PRs!

Just thinking you needed a new shirt? 🧠 💥 Us too! Get a wicked 80s style lifting shirt and support the TCBC powerlifting team.

Funds go toward Tim, Caiden, and Jeronimo’s entry fees, travel, some kind of motel, and foods when they represent Tri-Cities at the USAPL Empire Classic in Spokane. 👏

GET IT BY APRIL 3RD. https://www.tricitybarbellclub.com/t-shirt-fundraiser

And hey, thank you for supportin’ and sportin’ the brand. They’re working very hard to make us all proud.

Full disclosure, we used AI… Tim’s modeling fee was too high. barbellgym

8th platform complete! 🤩 Demand w/ a waitlist encouraged us to finally add a stand to the front this weekend.

That’s 8 individual lifting platforms, for 8 lifters at one time. No standing around, no waiting for an open rack, bar, or plates.

14 years ago we started with 2 racks in 500 sq ft. We’ve grown with demand over the years and now we’re here! 8 complete platforms, some of the highest quality equipment, and a waiting list. Kinda crazy.

🥩 🗡️ One man cut his steak with a sword last night.

Tim & Caiden put on one hell of a show at the State Championship this weekend!

This was Caiden’s first competition! He (17 yrs | teen 2) went 8/9 attempts with a 396 squat, 209 bench and 413 deadlift @ 187 bodyweight (198 weight class). 🥈 He took 2nd place after fighting for his life on his 3rd deadlift!! 🔥 435 is still fun to watch! 👏

Ol’ Tim (M1) went 9/9 attempts with a 418 squat, 286 bench and 518 deadlift @ 180 bodyweight (181 weight class). Tim took FIRST place, his first year competing as a Masters lifter! 🥇 + BEST Masters lifter overall, earning him this fine new piece of cutlery. Not too shabby after 20 years in the sport.

Congrats Caiden & Tim! Absolute killer performance.

Thank you to Danna, the organizers, and everyone who helped make this a great event. Thank you to the friends and family who drove out.

Another good showing at the Empire Classic in Spokane this last Saturday. 🎉 Owning a business, managing a family, raising this little dude, and still training consistently to be prepared for competition is one big accomplishment. Tim won’t say that, but we (Amanda & Max) deem that a success- it’s a lot of work to take care of us! 😉 The second accomplishment was the actual competition.

Weighing in at 176 and competing in Men’s open, Tim squatted 425 lbs! It was a PR for him, and gave us all something cool to yell about! ❤️ Max was teary-eyed with nerves, anticipation, and love for his dad during the squat. Bench was a nice 275, and deadlift ended with 485. 👏 It was a great experience, he left everything he had on the platform, and there are no new injuries to report. That’s another win in our book! 😆 It was a very well-put together meet by Dana Snow and 👏 And we are SUPER appreciative of the judges and volunteers who continue to make these events so great. THANK YOU, ALL!

🎄 This year we’re collecting for the Tri City Union Gospel Mission 🎁 We’re kicking this off with a Costco bag of toilet paper, and heading to Target for their 40% off “children’s hats & gloves” sale. All are welcome to join in, just bring items into TCBC and we’ll deliver before Christmas. 💵 If you prefer to give financially, please check their site directly. They are currently raising funds to build a newer, safer women’s and & children’s shelter (the ONLY one in our community).

Circa 2012. Anxiously awaiting city and state approval for our business license, we distract ourselves by training for competition in our 1-bdr duplex, filling the hallway with weightlifting equipment for our new business, one piece at a time. We both did odd jobs- yard work, graphic design, weekend cashiering. We opened debt-free 11 years ago, with no business experience and 4 members.
