Child and Teens: Karate, Kickboxing Judo and wrestling. Adults: CAMBO (Russian style Throwing and Submission Grappling) and Striking. Traditional training with modern methods Lion’s Way Martial Arts has been teaching the best martial arts has to offer in the Kent, WA area since 1998. Our comprehensive program covers punching, kicking, throwing, submission grappling and weapons. We offer age appropriate classes for Children, Teenagers and Adults. We also offer specific SAMBO classes for those looking for something outside the traditional belt levels. No matter what you are looking for we can help you achieve your goals, give you the highest quality training and have fun while doing it.

Halloween Week!

It's a short one, but it's going to be packed with exceptional training! Any students caught on the mats tonight might even be going home with a little treat... or is that a little trick?

What a great week of training!

Our kids and teens came out of testing fired up and ready to go! They're working hard, having fun, and proving every day why they're such an amazing group to train with. The energy on the mats has been incredible!

The adults aren't slowing down either. This Open Enrollment brought in an almost full group, and they're charging forward at breakneck speeds (figuratively, of course!). The progress we've seen in just a short time has been outstanding.

If you missed this Adult class enrollment period, we're sorry to say registration is now closed. But don't worry, the next Open Enrollment kicks off in February 2027, and it'll be here before you know it!

Until then, let's finish 2026 strong, keep pushing forward, and keep rocking the mats all year long!

🔥 Great news for Kids and Teens, plus a last warning for Adults! 🔥

🎉 Huge congratulations to our incredible Kids and Teens! You completely crushed your recent belt test, pushed yourselves harder than ever, and earned every bit of your success.

📍 Testing results are posted in the entryway at the school! Belts will be handed out in class as soon as they arrive. Keep up the phenomenal work!

🚨 ADULTS: FINAL WARNING! 🚨

Today and tomorrow (Tuesday) are your absolute last days to register for our October Open Enrollment.

- Requirement: Must be able to begin by Wednesday, October 7.

- The Catch: Miss this window and you're waiting until February 2027 for your next shot.

Testing Times for Friday, October 2, 2026

Once a test has started, late students will not be allowed to enter. With so many participants, punctuality is crucial to keeping everything running smoothly. We appreciate your patience as we work through the requirements. While we strive to make the process efficient, the sheer number of testers often leads to late nights, especially for teens.

Children (Test according to their current rank / belt color)
White, Sr. White, Yellow and Sr. Yellow belts — 5 pm
Sr. Orange, Green, Sr. Green, Sr. Purple — 5:30 pm

Teenagers
If possible, teenagers should arrive at 5:00 PM to assist with the children’s test. If that’s not feasible, please arrive no later than 6:14 PM. The teenagers’ test will begin immediately after the children’s test concludes.

Once again, teens must be present no later than 6:14 PM. All teens are expected to attend the test, whether they are participating or not. Please support your teammates and plan to stay for the entire duration of the test.
