Happy birthday to the incredible, unstoppable force that is our DDF team captain, Divisha Jagtiani! 🎉

Her dedication, kindness, and quick wit make her an absolute joy to be around! She also recently slayed the competition and took 5th place in extemporaneous commentary speech at the state tournament. 🏆

Divisha truly is a ray of sunshine on our team, spreading positivity and laughter wherever she goes. We are so grateful to have her as part of our DDF family. Here's to celebrating your special day!! 🌟🎂

We’d like to express our appreciation to our community for making the Southeast Alaska Region V DDF Tournament a success.

A BIG thank you to the volunteer judges who made this tournament possible, the Kayhi teachers who welcomed traveling teams to their class rooms, to Thomas Brooks & Anna Laffrey for running draw tables, and to Hannah Elise Bayles for tabulating results.

KETCHIKAN! You make my heart melt, we’ve filled 105 out of the 136 judging spots necessary to make the tournament run. Almost there!!

There are more times/events still available to judge through out the tournament. This was a particularly tough time to find people available during dinner.

VOLUNTEER JUDGES NEEDED!! If you have the time and are interested, we would be incredibly grateful to have your help. There are events ranging from mime, impromptu speeches, debate, and solo acting.
Over 100 students from all over Southeast Alaska will gather with the goal of being entertaining, informative, and persuasive in the minds of our community judges. A guaranteed great time!

Shout out to these guys! Our traveling team did a wonderful job at the Sitka tournament last weekend.

Maci & Elaina both participated in some of their very first competitive debate rounds. 💪🧠
We’re so lucky to have experienced members to help out and model what great academic performance looks like.

• Cooper gained new insights to competitive speech writing and is drafting up something with a touch of humor to knock the judges socks off
•Emery finaled in interpretive duet acting with her partner, Elaina
•Elaina participated in and WON her very first competitive round of debate
•Neila exceeded her personal goal of finaling in a solo event and took FIRST overall in extemporaneous commentary
•Maci made the judge laugh with her extemporaneous speech and tried out new DDF events
•Divisha showed amazing sportsmanship by uplifting newer members and making friends with all the Southeast debate teams
