Dolphin is still floating. And sailing. And beautiful. And in New Orleans!

In a small, yet magnificent, victory for the gypsies, Progressive has granted Dolphin an insurance policy without any sorts of shenanigans. Given my specific situation, this was rather a feat. What it means, however, is we have permission from the realm of paperwork and policies to continue on our journey toward New Orleans and South Shore Marina. Huzzah!

I have been told to be more specific concerning my whereabouts and heading and whatnot. Here's where I'm sailing heading out today. Sea wolf alongside and we are sticking together. Forecast is beautiful but light airs so I could be out of touch as much as a week. Donna worry bout me misah! I even have a new fishing pole. Alls well an I feel good. Mind the rocks and shoals. A banner day aboard dolphin, indeed. I almost can't stand how beautiful it all is, specially since it took so long and so much effort to get back to this juncture in life, but, as I dropped anchor under sail at an uninhabited island (with a lighthouse!!!) after a full day of wing-on-wing downwind sailing at a steady 5-6 knots, whilst reading wizard of oz and munching ritz crackers, there really isn't much else to say but daggone. I am one lucky girl and feelin good, alive an proper. hope yer day was just as pleasin! Oh and I got to talk to my mom on the phone. Winning, all around. Ps mom, mark says your invention already exists. It's called "missed connections" on craigslist. Ha!

I'll tell you why I live the way I do. Because I can and because it's awesome. That's why, pure and simple. S/v dolphin underway again, singlehanding north to New Orleans. Come on an join me fer a spell if'n you'd like.

Well hell. This ship is beautiful. Today in homage to Pete we listened to folk music an hand sanded most of the day. I think he'd appreciate the lifestyle. And then as an homage to the still living ke$ha I put glitter in the nonskid. So. Things are going well. Sailing soon! Yippee Kai Yai yay.

Been back aboard from another escapade into the frozen north for a couple weeks now. Hangin in boot key harbor, finishing up projects and causing trouble in the neighborhood. Cockpit coamings and winches in place, laying down nonskid and re-installing stuff like running lights and VHF this week. Thinking of sailing to key west soon but nothin's certain in this wild and wooly world. Come on by fer a visit if ya fancy, dockside restaurant, marathon, Florida.
