Portions of the Florida Keys received quite a bit of rain early this morning. In fact, Key West International Airport set a new daily record rainfall with 2.25" of rain!! This breaks the old record of 1.6" set in 2019

Sector Key West and Florida Fish and Wildlife are asking for information on a potential hit-and-run boating accident this morning around 5:30am in the vicinity of Marquesas Key. Witnesses reported seeing a white vessel strike the sailing vessel Applesauce (pictured below) before leaving the scene, heading west towards the Dry Tortugas. A victim was flown to Miami for additional care. The Coast Guard is assisting FWC, the lead agency on this investigation, to identify the vessel in question.
