Here’s a thought: how many waves did you ride this year? Any way we look at it, 2022 was an outlier. It sent some of us almost too much surf, and others not nearly enough. Australia was bombarded by cyclones and some of the worst flooding in the countries history, Europe went ballistic, the South Pacific served a Code Red 2 swell that sent surfers scrambling from New Zealand to Canada, and Hawaii’s crown jewel Pipeline was epic for six consecutive weeks. As we look back on your favorite moments of 2022, we begin with John John Florence and the wave that started it all. Follow along the next ten days as we recount our most liked moments of 2022.
