I love the silhouette of dancers pose.

I’ve been working on this for years. Honestly not very hard but now I get into the pose easier and can hold it for longer. I thought at this point in my practice I should be doing inversions and crazy backbends. I’ve been practicing for almost 13 years.
What I’m coming to terms with now; my practice isn’t anything I thought it would be. My personal practice focuses on breath work and finding stillness in the chaos.
I intend to be one of those cool yoga people doing crazy poses. For now I’m enjoying this part of my journey. The part where I’m grounding down and finding my balance.

Sometimes I feel like I’m not present with them enough. I feel lost as to how I’m supposed to break these generational curses. Sometimes I’m so busy doing all of the things that the things I want to do, don’t get done.
Then something like this happens. Where I come outside and my daughter is teaching her friend some yoga poses. That’s when I feel like all this shadow work is worth it!

Just because I’ve been posting myself in the rawest of form. No filters, no make up, barely doing anything to my hair during this challenge. Doing that makes me so self conscious in this world or make believe. So here goes my face when I tried a little 😘

My opinion? I’m sure I don’t have to preface saying that on my page but 💁🏽‍♀️

Yoga can help as a recovery tool. Especially if you have pain or limited range of movement. Yoga can help soothe nerves which helps with depression, anxiety, and ptsd just to name a few.
It’s a few moments in your body. Take what you get, leave what you don’t.
