Veterans Judo USA Open Houston 2026!
We are finally settle down and back to the routines, but we want to take this opportunity to reflect on what a great weekend we had. We want to take this time and thank all of our great volunteers from our dojo JUDO at MSHQ , also Ramon Torres Guzman and his dojo HTXJudo , Brad Daniels with his magic running the computer systems; they all help setting up, running the tables and the takedown of the Veterans Judo USA Open tournament. Even thought the event is just a day it takes so much time to plan and execute. The City of Baytown specially Mrs. Judith for opening their doors to us and let us bring this tournament to their city. Lastly for Sensei Hector and Mrs. Jennifer who worked really hard behind the scenes with scheduling and bringing this tournament to life. We really take pride in everything we do with the goal to build a great Judo Community thru these events. Veterans Judo USA

The 2026 Veterans Judo Open Houston is coming to Baytown Aug. 29, featuring more than 200 veteran competitors (age 30 and older) from across the nation and other countries.

This past weekend we traveled to Fort Lauderdale, FL to participate in the 2026 US Open Judo Championships. Jarvin did an amazing job and placed 3rd in the novice division.

Happy Fathers Day Judo Family 🥋

Sensei Hector, coach Jessie, and coach Joshua C., were fortunate to attend a unique training camp in Las Vegas, NV from 12-14 June, 2026. This training was led by two Japanese Sensei’s: Yasuo Otoguro and Eiji Watanabe.
One of the purpose for this camp, was to bring together coaches across the USA to review and better understand the principles of Judo as intended by the Kodokan Judo Institute. During this training attendees also acquired additional knowledge and tools that will help them standarized training at their home Dojo’s. Lastly, this training served a the initial meet for Sensei Otoguro’s Team Shugoshin. Sensei Otoguro’s vision for this team is something very different; this team will have constant communication, continued training, and opportunities to compete at all levels.
Special thanks to our team leader Jonathon Michaud for taking the initiative to coordinate this event and bringing us together under the guidance of Sensei Otoguro.
