Burns Golf Committee - Please share or apply.
(deadline to apply - Oct 1st)
Going into 2027, we would like to form a golf committee for the Chris Burns Junior Golf Foundation. The primary goal of the golf committee is to choose individuals who are ingrained in Junior Golf who can make recommendations to the Board about activities we should be doing to assist junior golf in our area.
The committee will be encouraged to communicate with each other to share ideas and vote on the agenda we should try to execute throughout 2027.
This includes but not limited to:
- Introducing new kids to golf
- Assisting High School golf teams
- providing financial assistance to kids who are playing competitive golf.
- Finding areas we can give back to the community to support junior golf
- ways to grant scholarships to kids through competition
We encourage parents, golf instructors, high school golf coaches or anyone else who has a passion for Junior Golf to apply and graciously volunteer your time to create the best junior golf environment we possibly can.
The committee will have a $20,0000 budget to work with for the year 2027.
In addition to the golf budget, we will sponsor up to 1 free lunch or dinner (per month) to give a space for the committee to meet.
