We’ve read the comments and understand there might be some confusion when it comes to trash management when in our Parks, specifically Davis Camp.

It is never acceptable to leave full trash bags at your camp unattended. This is a common rule at all parks across the Nation. Unattended trash allows wildlife an opportunity to tear into the bag. When leaving your campsite for any duration of time, please simply place your trash bag in the provided dumpsters throughout the park.

Do not create trash piles! The wind is strong in our region and comes on quickly. Collect your trash in boxes or bags. Once full, please take the time to walk your trash to a dumpster to ensure there is no contamination from your trash unintentionally blowing into the waterway or throughout the park.

Be respectful to the park, other park guest, the landscape, and wildlife. These simple measures truly help in so many ways.

We appreciate all of you that choose to visit Mohave County Parks. Be strong advocates for environmental protection so that yourself, your family, and future generations can enjoy the landscape today and into the future 🌎

PSA: WE ARE NOT TOLERATING TRASH LIKE THIS IN OUR PARK ANYLONGER!

This will create terms for dismissal from Davis Camp. We have provided dumpsters for all trash needs throughout the park at all sections. Make a mental note. Just as you've packed your food, beverages, sunscreen and all other items, we do expect you to pack your own trash bags.

Our park has been neglected and destroyed by guest for far too long, and we are going to correct the behavior, protect our beaches, the waterway, and the surrounding wildlife moving forward.

As your bags fill up, please place them in a dumpster. Any and all sites not kept clean and to this standard will be removed from the park.

Have a safe weekend! Photos are an example of what not to do!
