Congratulations to Colton Parese on his commitment to wrestle at Hunter College!

Colton will be majoring in Biological Sciences while continuing his athletic career at the next level.

We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next, both on the mat and in the classroom.

The Kingston Wrestling family is deeply saddened by the passing of Alan Aidala.

Alan was a mentor, a supporter, and a constant presence for so many students in our community. The impact he had on countless young people is truly immeasurable. He went above and beyond, not just for members of our program, but for student-athletes across all sports in our district and for anyone who needed guidance, support, or someone to believe in them.

He had a unique ability to connect with students, to push them to be better, and to remind them of their worth, even when they couldn’t see it themselves. Many of the lessons he taught had nothing to do with school or sports, but everything to do with life.

His kindness, dedication, and unwavering support helped shape the paths of so many young men and women, and his legacy will continue to live on through each of them.

On behalf of the entire Kingston Wrestling program, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He will truly be missed, but never forgotten.

Congratulations to Kingston Wrestling’s own Layla Lane!

Layla recently placed 5th at the NYWAY Girls State Championship Tournament, competing in the High School Girls Division, all while only being a 7th grader.

Layla has been training and competing in Jiu-Jitsu since the age of 4, and only began her wrestling journey this past October. Her toughness, dedication, and willingness to challenge herself against older competition speaks volumes about her work ethic.

The future of Kingston Wrestling is very bright, and we’re incredibly proud of Layla and everything she’s accomplishing. Keep working!

This Women’s History Month, we proudly celebrate the incredible young women of Kingston Wrestling.

This season marked a historic moment for our program. For the first time in Kingston wrestling history, we had a girl qualify for the New York State Championship Tournament. That achievement represents more than just one athlete, it represents progress, opportunity, and the continued growth of girls wrestling.

Women’s wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. More and more young women are stepping onto the mat, proving that this sport is for anyone willing to work hard, compete with courage, and believe in themselves.

Our girls have helped build something special here at Kingston. Their toughness, dedication, and willingness to challenge themselves every day are helping open doors for the next generation.

To the young girls watching: wrestling is for you too. Don’t be afraid to chase something difficult. Step on the mat, work hard, and be proud of the strength you carry within you.

The future of girls wrestling is bright, and we are proud to be part of its history.
