“Thank y'all for having the things we need to keep making these memories with our family.”

A longtime customer, John Garcia, sent us that message after a weekend of dove hunting with his family. That's why we're here!

These little outdoor lovers are our future. They're learning from their parents and grandparents today, and one day they'll be the ones passing it all down.

It might take a little longer to get rigged up and you might get started a little later than planned, but take the kids with you. Teach them to hunt, fish, respect the land, and appreciate the outdoors. Make the memories and keep the traditions going.

This is what it's all about, and we're proud to be a small part of it.

Wow! Last week was a great one for Westican Outdoors and our team. After months of construction, planning, moving, unpacking, and getting the store ready, we finally got to open the doors and welcome everyone in.

The community showed up! Seeing a full parking lot and so many people walking through our doors throughout the week was something we'll never take for granted or forget. We saw longtime customers, plenty of new faces, friends, families, and quite a few people passing through South Texas for dove season. We wish we could've gotten a photo of every person who stopped by, because these pictures only capture a small part of the support we received on soft opening day.

We also need to shoutout some local folks who went out of their way to take care of our crew. HTeaO Kingsville brought tea and lunch for our staff, The Flower Box brought us a beautiful arrangement, and Lisa West made sure we had coffee that first busy morning. We also had fellow Kingsville businesses stop in just to congratulate us and welcome us into this new chapter. Those gestures meant a lot to our team.

To everyone who came through the doors, whether you came to shop, look around, say hello, or just see what we've been working on, thank you so much for coming. We're proud to call Kingsville home and we're grateful to be part of a community that supports its own.

If you haven't made it in yet, don't worry. We're open and ready to see you!

The wait is over.

From opening the doors to little more than four walls and a whole lot of vision, to opening them today to a store we're incredibly proud to call Westican Outdoors. We've come a long way.

Piece by piece, the new Westican Outdoors is coming together, but we're building more than a storefront.

We're building a place rooted in the community that has supported us from the beginning. A place for hunters, anglers, families, and everyone who shares a love for the outdoors. We're bringing a selection of Benchmade knives to our new storefront as we get closer to filling the space with even more of what you've been asking for.
