This is our story.
Somewhere around June, due to circumstances beyond their control, seven exceptionally talented little girls with a love of the game were suddenly left without a team, and nowhere to play.
Six parents got together, hatched a plan… and from this, The Carolina Reign was born.
This wasn’t a long-term solution, there weren’t even any “seasonal dues”, just a mad scramble, a quickly drawn out plan, and a desire to see our girls finish the second half of the season.
And finish it they did.
Two first-place championships, three second place wins, 150 runs, and a season-ending trip to Myrtle Beach where they posted up first seed in the gold B-bracket.
They couldn’t have done any better, and we couldn’t have been any prouder.
And as the season closes, so does The Reign. The mission was accomplished, our girls are still playing together, and while the new name may imply clouds, their future is brighter than ever.
