A few days ago, I posted something about the incredible highs and lows you experience through sports. Our high school girls had just experienced one of those incredible highs. Well, on Saturday night our team was taken to the other end of the spectrum. We were completely overwhelmed by a talented Central Valley team in the 4A state championship game. Very difficult experience for me and my girls. Defeat in that manner truly tests you as a team, as a coach, and as a human. We all learned a little more about each other that night. We are all better for our experiences. I love my girls, I love their families, and I love our community. Hats off to the Lady Bears of Central Valley. This was definitely their year.

Woodinville girls, Bothell boys capture KingCo 4A titles The Falcons upset the No. 3 Bothell girls for a title. The Cougars face a loser-out game Saturday.

Our favorite African proverb, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.' Tonight this group of girls traveled far together. We finally overcame a very talented and well coached Bothell team 52-48 in the 4A Kingco Championship Game. A total team effort. Gabby Whalen our lone senior leading the way.

One more fantastic game with a very talented Eastlake team. It was sad someone had to lose this game. It took this shot with 5 seconds left on the clock to secure the win. Woodinville Lady Falcons advance with the 64-62 win. High school girls basketball never more exciting!
