Day 2. I have finally dialed it in yesterday I was very disappointed in shallow water. It was hard to video and cast the jig but I casted a 1/16 head and brought it through the bed and you could see jig no problem. A look at the hd 42 vs 34 Garmin transducer. Both are powered by a 16 volt MillerTech Lithium Batteries top unit is 9213 with hd 42 transducer and bottom unit is 126 with 34 transducer. In shallow water it was almost like it ran alittle hot. I adjusted the gain as much as I could. In the other picture when I got over 8’ it cleared up and I started having a better picture the deeper I went. In the deeper pic if you zoom in you can see better separation and the seam line is gone in the 42 transducer. Right now it is not a plug and play like the 34 or 32. I was having to adjust the gain and turn on ghost tree on med. I sure they will come out with updates to fix some of the problems I see. Bottom separation was better. This was my first few hrs playing with it and this is being as honest as I can be on what I seen today. I will continue to play with it and post more pic. when I get it dialed in. The biggest difference I could see is when I got out in 20’ of water you could definitely see a difference in separation and detail but the pictures I took had line in them from lighting so I didn’t post. These units are just tools at the in of the day it is just your skill level and you ability to use the tools to catch fish they don’t make them bite or catch them for you.
