"It’s the best gym in town."

For YMCA member Joel Heaton, the quality of our equipment is what keeps him coming back. If you're serious about your training, you need gear that matches your dedication.

Why Joel Chooses the Y:

- Elite Machines: The best leg and back equipment you'll find in Kirksville.
- Bodybuilding Ready: A setup perfectly designed to support advanced strength training and serious muscle building.

Don't settle for less. Come check out the equipment for yourself and see why the Y is Kirksville's top spot for serious lifters.

Karen Armstrong has been part of the YMCA since 2004. First as a member for over 20 years, and now as a board member for the last 15. 🧡

From teaching in Japan to nearly 20 years with the Missouri Department of Conservation, Karen's spent a career showing up for others. Retirement didn't slow her down. She just showed up here instead.

"Great workouts. Even better friends."

That's the whole thing, really. Come find your people too.

Hi! I’m Tina!

I have worked for the YMCA for 13 years. I retired from Truman State University in January and accepted the position of Membership Director here at the YMCA. I love being part of a small-town community where people know each other by name. One of the best feelings working here is getting to know our members and help them feel welcome.

When I'm not working, you will find me spending time with friends and family, working out, exploring the backroads, stopping to take pictures, listening to music, or hanging out on the farm. I love sunsets, country roads, and just about anything that takes me outside.

I believe the YMCA is more than a place to work out. It's a place where friendships grow, families connect, and a community comes together.

I am so thankful to be a part of the YMCA family, and I look forward to meeting you. Don't hesitate to stop by and say hello. I'd love to get to know you!
