Red Oak Camp

Red Oak Camp Developing our campers' inner strengths through outdoor exploration and adventure. Red Barn Camp is the definition of adventure for boys.

Campers develop self-reliance and leadership skills while investigating nature and building new friendships. The camp boasts a climbing tower, a high ropes course, and facilitated tree climbing for developing climbing skills, confidence, and physical fitness. Campers also enjoy traditional camp activities, including archery, backpacking, canoeing, climbing, tennis, swimming, as well as the opportunity to develop interests in science and camp crafts under the guidance of our experienced staff. English Horseback Riding instruction is also offered as part of the camp curriculum. Red Oak has several programs for boys and girls rising 1st - rising 10th graders. With activities like climbing, hiking, archery, fire building, and many more, it's no wonder our campers can't get enough. Chincapin camp for girls is where adventure and friendship happens. For girls who are passionate about horseback riding, nature exploration, archery, sports, and more, Chincapin is the place to be.

In partnership with Western Reserve Land Conservancy, Red Oak recently hosted a group of insect enthusiasts out to the grounds of Lantern Court Estate for an enlightening WRLC event all about moths.

In placing a sheet lit just right to attract bugs of the night, more than 93 species of moths, along with some excellent views of beetles, katydids, and other fascinating insects were identified. Nature always fascinates.
