Highlight reels are just that…highlights. Most people only show you what they want you to see. Not sharing everything is ok too. Don’t compare your life to other people’s highlight reels.

Making it to the end of a year can be a huge success some years! Celebrate the things that matter to you, whether or not they matter to anyone else. Comparison is the thief of joy.

💥 A 32:37 PR!! 🎉 Huge congrats to Trevor White today at Ironman North Carolina 70.3 where he rocked a 32:37 PR from his time at Ironman Chattanooga 70.3 in May! A bike fit with Quest Health & Performance prior to Chatty 70.3 helped him achieve a PR there and then he joined Team Quest for custom coaching after that to train for IMNC 70.3! Trevor, we’re proud of you and a huge congrats today!

P.S. We think you’ve got an awesome cheer buddy there too in Rudy 🐶!

💟 This past weekend, many of our Team Quest athletes, alumni, and staff came together to support each other to accomplish some huge running goals!

🏃The Ozone Endurance Challenge went virtual this year and several of the team had already set their sights on 100 miles at the event. So they were quite bummed when it was announced it wouldn’t happen in person.

▶️ Many people attempt a 100 mile race (or a hundo as it’s known in the ultra running world) and despite all of the race support, they aren’t able to finish it for various reasons: muscle aches and pains, blisters, GI issues, or mental issues. So to try to tackle this completely unsupported makes the likelihood of success that much harder.

💟 So we decided to have a Team Quest get together for everyone to do their virtual race at the same time. They had planned to come to Tennessee originally anyway, so why not?! Seven signed up for the race and 6 others showed up at various times to support at the aid station or to share some miles with those in the race.

❓What did these awesome people accomplish together between Wednesday morning and Saturday afternoon?
5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ total combined miles‼️- 453 in the race and 47 support miles!

4️⃣ amazing athletes earned 100 mile buckles!
🌟 Peggy Kindinger - 1st hundo!
🌟 Kathy Armstrong - 1st hundo!
🌟 Betsy Scholl - 1st hundo!
🌟 Wesley Griffin - 2nd hundo this year!

🟣 Stacy Bolyard logged over 16 miles, despite recently having Covid and not being at full capacity.
🟣 Teresa Williams logged another half marathon after just finishing the Rock N Roll Clearwater Half Marathon last weekend.
🟣 Michele Brackett logged just under 20 miles!

💜 An extra special thanks goes to Reinhard Hopperger for his incredible aid station support, Sherpa skills, and comedy to keep everyone taken care of and entertained for the duration! In addition to all of his support for everyone, he also logged the last 1.3 miles to support his lovely wife, Betsy, as she finished her first hundo and earn his first medal! It was the sweetest sight!

💫 Thanks to Matt, Phil, Lisa, Karen, and Sarah for coming out and supporting all these runners!

💜 This group of folks have been so awesome to hang out with the last several days! I just wish most of them weren’t out-of-state so we could do it more often!

Several Team Quest members had planned to shoot for 100-miles at the Ozone Endurance Challenge this week. The race ended up going virtual though.

Doing 100 miles in a fully supported race is a challenging enough task. Doing 100 miles by yourself without any other support or others around would be extremely difficult. So we decided to do an “in-person virtual” race! 5 team members from 5 states (TN, NC, CO, OH, and FL) going for 100 miles together with our support! The plan was to be in Tennessee this week anyway! So they started their race at 9am Wednesday, just like the race would have been. At the end of the day, they’ve logged 119 miles so far! Betsy’s husband, Reinhard, and Coach Jeanne have manned the aid station today to keep them fed and hydrated.

Coach’s house is base camp so it’s like a big slumber party, except with a bunch of tired, hungry, somewhat emotional bunch of runners, but we’re having a blast together! Coach Phil and Coach Matt are going to come out some today for the event while these awesome folks continue to rack up their miles! We got a beautiful sunrise start to the day too. Two other local team members are joining the fun on Saturday with the 6-hour race.

Ultrarunners are fun people, but these are some of the best! 💜

It’s easy to make excuses. It’s easy to justify not showing up. It’s easy to quit. Wesley Griffin () is NOT that guy!

Your Team Quest family is sending you, and your dad, our very best wishes, prayers and love! Go have an awesome race day for both you AND your Dad! 💪🏼💜

How cool that our own Timothy Wayne Rutherford Sr from Team Quest is the featured runner on Global Running Day for the Flying Pig Marathon!

Tim’s most favorite runs are when he is pushing a rider with Ainsley's Angels in Tennessee and in this case he helped out the Ohio chapter of Ainsley's Angels of America Family being part of Team Woody!

It’s so awesome to see the sheer joy and happiness that running brings to Tim and Woody here!

***winner has been notified. Contest is closed*** Celebrate by sharing your most memorable Flying Pig moment for your chance to win a 2024 Flying Pig entry!

This weekend is The Pistol Ultra Run and Pistol Creek Marathon & Half Marathon. This weekend event is referred to as The Pistol Party and is enjoyed with our Pistol Family. Well, some of our Team Quest family got the Pistol party started a little early with a team social on Thursday night! We welcomed some of our out-of-town runners to Knoxville and encouraged our team members racing this weekend. We have two going after their first 100 milers and 1 doing the 50k! Our Team Quest family has several who are also volunteering at the Pistol this weekend, including at packet pick up today, to support all these ultra-crazy runners! 💜 LOVE our Team Quest AND Pistol families! So many awesome peeps! 💜

This man came to Vegas on a mission with one goal for today…podium in his age group.

Despite lousy weather conditions (cold rain and gusty winds), MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

🥇He won 1st place in his age group at the Rock N Roll Las Vegas 5K with almost 4200 people racing. Congratulations Timothy Rutherford () on an awesome victory! Proud of you! 💪🏼
