Making strikes look the same - UFC 248 prelims: Gerald Meerschaert vs Deron Winn 03/20/2020

On the UFC 248 prelims, Gerald Meerschaert did a fantastic job of making his straight left, overhand left and left hook to the body look so similar that his opponent, Deron Winn, had a terrible time predicting the strikes. Doing the little things right, like in this fight, made Meerschaert's striking significantly more effective than if he had just winged punches at Winn.

Alright folks, expect new K-Town Breakdowns every Mon and Wed from now on! Today we take a look at something Keith Olson did repeatedly in his Valor Fighting Challenge 66 bout with Steven New and I could see the head-movement and the "no-load-up" punch, but only when I slowed it down did I see the nice job Keith did of using his lead hand to aggressive parry with.

So, take note all you fighters out there, this is a nice little self-contained combo that does a bunch of things right!
