Mounting an optic to your MAC RA-9? Here are a few things you need to know….

Whether you’re running the RA9S, RA9 Defense 2, or RA9 Sport, the optic mounting process is straightforward once you understand the hardware.

A few key details to remember:

• Cover plate and adapter plate screws: T8 Torx, M3 threads.
• Optic-to-adapter plate screws: T10 Torx, M4 x 0.70 threads.
• Check screw length before installation. The screws should not protrude below the adapter plate when the optic is mounted.
• Clean and degrease your hardware, apply Blue Loctite, and use a torque wrench to tighten to the recommended 12–15 in-lb. Allow the threadlocker to cure.

The MAC-IX is really starting to cast a shadow of its own.

What started as a fun 9mm direct-blowback PCC has quickly grown into a platform with plenty of personality and an expanding aftermarket of accessories and upgrades.

It’s been pretty cool watching the MAC-IX community grow throughout 2026 and seeing all the different directions you guys are taking your builds.
