After trailing 24-7 in the first half, No. 10 Tennessee exploded for 37 points in the second half, including Antonio Wardlow’s blocked punt recovered for a touchdown in a 51-33 thumping of No. 13 Georgia at Sanford Stadium on this day 20 years ago.

Wardlow landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated the following week.

Reggie Cobb rushed for 225 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown run.

Good morning, Big Orange Family! Hope everyone’s day is off to a great start. We are reaching out once again to ask for your assistance. Our athletic department is looking for individuals to fill our temporary laborer openings within our maintenance crew. These are temporary part-time positions that have room for advancement. The hours are 40 hours a week plus overtime. Just this year we promoted employees from part-time to full-time due to their work ethics and being a great team player. The positions will not include insurance or retirement, but they are perks that come with the job. If you bleed orange and are honorable, highly motivated, and passionate about our organization and want to help maintain our athletic facilities, then this is the place for you. The responsibilities include pressure washing, painting, cleaning, and working at athletic events, some of which may occur during nights and weekends. This is a unique opportunity to work within the University of Tennessee Athletics and could be the chance of a lifetime. If you know anyone who might be interested, please share this information with them. Thank you for considering, and we hope everyone has a wonderful day and Go Big Orange!

Listed below is some important info so make sure to pass it along and hope to see everyone at the game as we cheer the vols to victory! We wish our best to everyone for a grand day.

Important Game Day Information for Tennessee vs. Texas at Neyland Stadium
President Donald J. Trump is expected to attend Saturday’s football game between Tennessee and Texas. Fans should plan to arrive early and expect increased security measures in and around Neyland Stadium.

All stadium gates will open at 9:00 a.m. Ticketed attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive significantly earlier than they would for a typical game. Enhanced security screening will be conducted before entry by the Secret Service Police at all stadium gates. Fans should expect increased wait times as kickoff approaches.

Re-entry is not permitted once a ticket has been scanned for admission.
Fans should also anticipate additional security checkpoints and verification procedures in areas surrounding Neyland Stadium. To help expedite entry, attendees should have mobile tickets ready before approaching stadium gates.
Guests are encouraged to travel light and review the University of Tennessee Athletics clear bag policy and prohibited items list before arriving on campus. Prohibited items will not be allowed inside Neyland Stadium, and there are no storage locations available for prohibited items. Guests should leave restricted items at home or securely stored in their vehicles.

Heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic are expected across portions of campus several hours before kickoff. Temporary roadway closures, traffic control measures, and pedestrian routing adjustments may be implemented to support game day operations. Fans should allow extra travel time and consider arriving well in advance of kickoff.

Fans should also expect congestion and brief delays when moving through campus and areas near the stadium before and after the game.
