The KHFF GRINDHOUSE GRIND-OUT is a timed filmmaking competition that gives teams 6 days and 66 minutes to write, shoot and edit an extended exploitation/grindhouse-style movie trailer or narrative short film based on a genre selected at the kickoff event.

Grindhouse Grind-Out Competition | knoxhorrorfest In 2011 the Knoxville Horror Film Fest introduced its own sick twist on the timed filmmaking competition, giving teams six hours and sixty-six minutes to produce a fake grindhouse-style movie trailer from a ridiculous genre chosen draft-style at the competition's opening ceremony.

Save the date!
We mentioned this weekend we were going to do an encore screening of this year's Grindhouse Grind-out, and we're pairing it with the film that reignited the love for these types of films, GRINDHOUSE. The best way to watch PLANET TERROR & DEATH PROOF is how it was originally intended in this double feature and we've been dying to screen this since we opened and can't think of a better way to do it. Join us on November 8th at 7p for the Grind-out encore followed by GRINDHOUSE!

Passes will be available again on October 1st.
It's only 2 days until October 1st! Besides the fact that Halloween is almost here, (we all know Halloween really starts on 10/1) it also means that we'll be putting up the rest of the passes for sale at 9am. These are going to be super limited (less than 10) and will probably go very fast. There will also be individual day passes and tickets for the Grindhouse Grind-out and THE EVIL DEAD screenings up for sale as well. We'll also be revealing the art for the exclusive beer we'll be selling courtesy of Elkmont Exchange!
