It's time for Real Pickleball Heroes. Today, we salute you, The Paddle Sommelier. Every group of pickleball friends has that one person who shows up with more paddles than the pro shop. Five paddles minimum, each one for a different feel. They will hand you one mid-game like they are pouring you a glass of wine. "Try this one, it has a softer face." You cannot tell the difference. You will nod like you can. Today, we salute you, curator of the Carbon Fiber and the only person we know who can properly pronounce the word "Joola" (we think). You have spent more on paddles than most people spend on a car, and you would do it again tomorrow.

This month our instructor spotlight is on Becky Hardesty, and if you have got a kid who is even a little bit into this game, keep reading. Becky played Division I college tennis at SIU and then spent years as a tennis pro before pickleball got its hooks in her. Today she is ranked among the top women's players in the Knoxville area, and she has turned all of that into a real specialty. Youth coaching. Fundamentals. It's time for your monthly reminder that playing pickleball outside in the heat of August can be brutal. At least that's what we've heard... we wouldn't know because here at Pickleville we're playing in East Tennessee's best, fully climate controlled facility. You'll get sweaty, sure... that's the point. But the good kind of sweaty... not the miserable, sticky, takes 3 hours and 2 cold showers kind of sticky. That's no fun. Come join us indoors, the AC is fine!

The new "Play every day" no limitations on time of day memberships start in 10 days. All Open Play included in the membership, Pickleville is one of the premier indoor facilities in the country and by far the best rate in the country for a membership of this type. Memberships will be limited.
