Congratulations to our runners today! Outstanding results from Clash of the Classes meet over the mountain in Boone, NC.
All races today were by class vs entire teams. A cool way to see where everyone is at the start of the season.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ~ Ava Nutter
Cross Country
• Freshman Year: Science Hill; Earned All-Conference honors, finished as a Top 10 runner at the sectional meet, and qualified for the state championship.
• Sophomore Year: Ran a personal best of 18:53.9 for 5K, won every regular-season JV race she competed in.
• Junior Year: Earned All-Conference honors, qualified for the state meet, the girls team finished 15th.
Cannot wait to see what else you can accomplish your senior XC season!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT ~ Ava Nutter
Cross Country
• Freshman Year: Earned All-Conference honors, finished as a Top 10 runner at the sectional meet, and qualified for the state championship.
• Sophomore Year: Ran a personal best of 18:52 for 5K, won every regular-season race she competed in, earned All-Conference honors, and helped lead her team back to the state championship.
• Junior Year: Earned All-Conference honors once again, qualified individually for the state championship, and helped lead her team to a Top 10 finish at the State meet.
