The Dvarapala are large stone guardians that stand outside tombs, palaces, glades, and other important landmarks.

In their disguised state, they are indistinguishable from stone statues. When awakened, they attack any living creature that disturbs the sanctum.

A member of the Yamadutas, an underground order of assassins and mercenaries who contract out their skills to the highest bidder.

Yamadutas recruit from the lowest rung of society, from orphans, street urchins, and those without a family. They offer these people a way out of their current living conditions, a new purpose, and a close-knit community. As a result, many of the newer recruits embrace their new identity and protect the cult with a fierce loyalty.

The leader of the Yamadutas is shrouded in mystery. Some say he is an Asura in disguise, some say he is the god Yama himself. Regardless, whenever orders come from high up, they must be followed. To fail means to die.

Presenting the Kalakeya, the most beast-like of all the Asuras. Kalakeyas reside in caves, forests, and remote ruins where there is room for them to reproduce and grow. Their societies are known as colonies, each ruled by a Daitya.

Once their numbers are large enough, the Kalakeyas embark on a raid on a human settlement, seeking to take over. As a result, a growing Kalakeya colony often causes panic and fear among the surrounding populace.

This is one of 25+ monsters included in the Land of Devabhumi. Back now on Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/silvercompassmaps/devabhumi-a-dandd-5e-setting-inspired-by-ancient-india

The term Bagha Nakha means “tiger’s claw,” as this weapon resembles the claws of a great cat. It is held in the fist and has three sharp blades that emerge from between the fingers. This weapon is associated with assassins, as it is commonly wielded with the Bichuwa dagger.

This is one of 25+ Indian-themed weapons included in the Devabhumi setting book. Check it out here: http://kck.st/44MSkag

Astras are the ultimate weapons in Devabhumi, commanding great fear and respect. One can only wield an Astra if they receive a boon from a god.
