On Friday only, June 19th at 11 am and 1 pm at our June 19-20 quilt show at Knoxville Expo Center, we feature a traditional bed turning of collected quilts featuring Merikay Waldvogel, quilt historian, researcher , and author and inductee into the Quilters hall of Fame, assisted by Cindy Stuart, certified quilt appraiser and candidate in the NACQJ judging program.

What is a bed turning you ask? They will present a selection of quilts and share stories and information about each one. The tradition is to lay the quilts in a stack on the bed and lift one at a time to be discussed. Expect to see beautiful quilts, hear interesting stories, and learn about dating quilts. You won’t want to miss this always popular program.
