Before Knoxville had large buildings, interstates, and baseball fields, it was built on something much older... limestone.
For generations, East Tennessee limestone helped build roads, buildings, and communities across the region. It became one of Knoxville's most important natural resources.
This summer, that history comes to life in Banana Ball fashion.
Meet the Limestone Lizards — a team as tough as the rock beneath our feet and as unpredictable as a lizard darting across a sunbaked stone wall.
These Lizards don't just play baseball... They crawl out of the quarry, crack through the competition, and leave opponents looking petrified.
🪨 Built from Tennessee stone.
🦎 Cold-blooded competitors.
⚾ Swinging bats harder than a limestone hammer.
Rumor has it their scales are made from crushed Knoxville limestone and their lineup is so dangerous that opposing pitchers have requested geological surveys before taking the mound.
One thing is certain:
When the Limestone Lizards take the field, things are about to get rocky.

Tonight, some of the best players from across the league take the field for a pair of exciting All-Star Games!

⚾ 10U All-Stars 📍 Field 4 🕡 First Pitch: 6:30 PM

⚾ 12U All-Stars 📍 Field 1 🕡 First Pitch: 6:30 PM

These players have worked hard all season and earned the opportunity to represent their teams on All-Star Night. Come out, grab some food from the Triple Play Cafe, cheer on these athletes, and enjoy a great evening of baseball at Legendary Bower Field!

We've had people ask about how coaches will be decided for the summer league
We have to make it fun and competitive right?

Obviously background checks have to be cleared, and proper paperwork will be involved

Beyond that, we're going to make it a little competition.

If you want to be a head coach, the first ones to get a $200 sponsorship will get the positions.

The sponsors get their name on the back of every player Jersey so they will get advertisement throughout the summer along with postings on our page.
