KMS Dance Team (Season 2) is back and these girls are already challenging themselves (and the coaches) and doing awesome with the tougher skills! Coach Laura and team member, KK, working on double toe touches!
Their hype and vibe is everything and we can’t wait to perform for our community this winter! Be on the lookout or our performance schedule!

Day 1 of auditions was a BLAST! 👏🏽
We learned:
• Isolations
• Jazz Runs
• Chasses
• Chaine Turns
• Jazz Pirouettes
• Low, Medium, AND High Kicks
• Toe Touches
• Leaps
We also learned a dance to “When Will My Life Begin?” from Tangled, stretched and learned some DRILL!
It was a packed day of learning new things, but we definitely had fun!
See you tomorrow for DAY 2!!

We’ll be going over all of the skills again, learning a Kick/Pom Routine, and going over our Character piece from today.

KMS Dance Team Auditions start TOMORROW!
Please come to the studio READY.
That means:
- You have your paperwork already turned in to the office or ready to turn in to the coaches
- You are in dance-appropriate attire (no jeans, no street shoes, no distracting tees, etc)
- Hair is up and out of your face
- Water bottle is full
- You're ready to learn and have fun!
- Positive attitude
A reminder that the dance team is open to 6th to 8th graders; boys & girls are welcome!
Good morning and happy Friday, KMS parents and student-athletes!
The Kodiak Middle School Dance Team is BACK for its second season, and we are SO EXCITED!
The audition process is over the course of three days:
Wednesday, October 11th, 2:45 to 5:30
Thursday, October 12th, 3:45 to 5:30
Friday, October 13th, 3:45 to 5:30
*Attending all three days is not required but HIGHLY recommended.
We'll announce the team at the end of the school day on Monday, October 16th.
