We love the snow but snow mixed with rain is when things get messy! With the forecasted rain, we anticipate the roads being real icy and icky tomorrow (Thursday, 1/15) and have decided to close our kitchen to prevent our staff from having to drive. The bar will stay open, serving clam chowder, smoked salmon pasta, and a limited menu of bar snacks. Thanks for your understanding and stay safe out there! Kitchen will resume regular hours Friday, 1/16.

Steve with Mountain-Man-Enterprises got his Pacific with us a few years ago so he was chasing a nice Red-breasted Merganser while the rest of the Michigan boys had their sights set on big mature Pacific Eiders.

Captain Tim came through on day one, now it’s time for the real fun to begin.

The Texas boys finished up 3 days of hunting in Kodiak, Alaska and are ready to book their next trip with Kodiak Fins & Feathers.

Harvesting 10 different species in 3 days and burning all the ammo they imported from the lower 48.

Now that the weather isn’t blowing 70 it’s back to our regular schedule fun!!

This week we had Chris and Hudson hunting with us. Hudson turned 1 year old on the plane ride to Kodiak. During his time here Hudson got to retrieve 2 Pacific Eiders, as well as some Harliquin ducks, all three species of Scoters, Long Tail Ducks, Common Goldeneye, Bufflehead, Common Merganser and Red-breasted Merganser. Getting 10 new species for the one year old Labrador Retriever was a great way to spend a few days.

The Müller Hunting Chokes made an impression on Chris and he has already ordered some of his own.

Also the future Captain in training Anthony got some valuable training setting out the long lines.
