Sea ducks. That’s where it’s at.

A beautiful sunrise in Kodiak, Alaska chasing sea ducks.

The seasons winding down and the weathers worsening but we’re still on the hunt for the last few days. Eleven days and counting.

Sometime we hit the back bays for a little diver action. Cash certainly enjoys the work.

All of our decoys wether on the ocean or in the bays are ran on gang drop rigs. The beauty of the drop rigs is that Cash can work without having to worry about getting tangled in the decoys.

Our bread and butter sea duck in kodiak.

If you’ve heard them once you will never forget the sound of the long tail. One of the more interesting and certainly unique ducks we chase in Kodiak.

A stud longtail is hard to beat.

Last hunt before the Holiday. Took a couple local Kodiak High School boys out for a morning hunt. Nate shot his first duck ever, a stud Harlequin drake!
