Ranger Kiel's Kodiak Adventures

Todays customers flew all the way in from Tampa Florida to see Kodiak's wildlife and they were very happy with what they saw. As seen above this rabbit thought it was camouflaged from five feet away. Sometimes you just got to enjoy Gods creatures.

Today is Veteran's Day. Today is very important to me and my family. As you see in todays new pick we proudly display our three blue star flag under the stars and stripes. I am proud to say that when Our Country needed my family, we stood up to do what others would not or could not. My Son Cheyenne, My Wife Keylah, and Myself served in Combat during the time of War, or on a Mission during War Time. I am also proud to say that my Son and I were one of the very first Father/Son's serving in Iraq in 2003. I would like to thank all my Brothers and Sisters who Served before me, with me, and after I left. Today it is our family tradition, to visit our fallen, and also to visit those who are still alive. I leave you now to visit Arthur who is one of the last WWII Veterans who served here on Kodiak Island during the war. He is a double amputee who spends his day's looking out a hospital window. He now has myself and other young Coust Guard service members standing at his Six at that window showing the respect and care we owe to him and his Greatest Generation, God Bless The USA

So I could not help myself I have a disease, I cant stop Fishing. I have signed up for Fisherman's AA. You know you love fishing when there is six inches of snow on the ground and the Bear hunt starts tomorrow, and you bust out that pole one more time. Nice Buck Silver, caught Oct 24, that 24 days later than last seasons last Silver.

Todays cover picture is of Brennon or as his family call him BB. I took Max and BB to Saltery to Rabbit hunt and could not help but fish one last time. BB caught this big Buck Silver Salmon that looks like someone spray painted it with Orange paint, but it just was the biggest and oldest spawner in the Bed Springs. All fish were returned to finish spawning. Look at the other pictures we posted along with the video of the Ice on this trip.

Today I took my most important client for our last trip to Saltery river for the last Silver of our Season. Keylah my wife caught her one and only Silver of the year. Due to being so busy at her job this year, it was the only chance we had to get out together. She got to catch a fish, say goodby to Gomer our favorite Bear, who has stolen more fish, and has given so many clients the show of their lives this summer. We also got to video him trying to catch the last of the fish in the river. We hope and pray he makes it through the fall hunt and returns next year on the river. So its time to thank my biggest supporter my wife for letting me start this business, and helping out more than she knows. Also I would like to thank Jeff Woods for Guiding customers on the lower rivers and giving the customers the chance to catch tons of fish, and gave them all Outstanding Customer Service.

But most of all Thanks to all of Our Great Customers who gave us a shot, by using my company to take them fishing or to the bunkers, without you we could not of done it. So if your thinking of coming back next year start booking now, we plan to grow much bigger next year.

So today Mad Max was striped of all it fishing gear. A new lift kit, tires, studs, chains, and shocks were installed. Its time to get ready for hunting Rabbits, Ptarmigan, Deer, and Ducks.
