Chloe and Jocelyn weren’t able to make it to our promotion night, so we wanted to give them a shoutout for earning their first stripe!

Earning that first stripe is a big milestone. We’re proud of the progress you’ve both made and can’t wait to see what’s next!

Meet Coach Morgan!

We’d like to introduce Coach Morgan Henley!

Morgan is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over 12 years of experience on the mats. We’re excited to have her sharing her knowledge and experience with our team and helping our students grow in their Jiu-Jitsu journey.

We’re lucky to have her as part of Kodiak Island BJJ, so be sure to say hi to Coach Morgan when you see her on the mats!

🥋 Youth Jiu-Jitsu Schedule Update! 🥋

Starting Tuesday, July 14th, we’re expanding our youth program and separating classes into two age groups.

🗓️ Tuesdays & Thursdays

🥋 Ages 4–7: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
🥋 Ages 8–15: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

This change allows us to provide more age appropriate instruction while opening up additional spots for new students to join our growing youth program.

Whether your child is just getting started or already loves Jiu-Jitsu, we’d love to have them on the mats 👊

🔥 Special Guest Seminar with Nolan Wandersee 🔥

We’re excited to welcome Nolan Wandersee back home for a special 90-minute seminar at Kodiak Island BJJ.

Born and raised in Kodiak, Nolan is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt who currently trains at Southside Jiu-Jitsu in Anchorage. Through years of dedicated training, he has continued to develop his game and is coming back to share techniques, concepts, and experiences that have helped him on his Jiu-Jitsu journey.

This will be a No-Gi seminar, so please come prepared in appropriate No-Gi attire (rash guard, athletic shirt, shorts, or spats).

Whether you’re brand new to Jiu-Jitsu or have years of experience, this is a great opportunity to learn, train, and connect with the local grappling community.
