For parents of seniors and college athletes the summer baseball is a huge part of a player’s development, but not every athlete needs the exact same thing.
Some guys need more innings and game reps. Some need to put on 15 pounds. Some rode the bench this spring and need confidence and playing time. Some are coming off injuries and need to focus on rebuilding movement, strength, and skill development. Every player is on a different path.
I think sometimes we get caught up in just playing games without stepping back and honestly asking “What does this athlete actually need right now to keep moving forward?”
That’s the bigger picture.
As someone who grew up in Idaho, played baseball in Idaho, went the junior college route, won a college national championship, and played professional baseball, I understand how different every stage of the journey can be. I’ve lived it. Every level required different adjustments, different mindsets, and different development.
That’s why I’m passionate about helping players navigate this stage the right way.
The Treasure Valley has grown so much in baseball, and I truly believe we can continue building better athletes, better people, and better opportunities by developing players the right way.
