Well, this isn't exactly the post I was hoping to make, but here we are. ❤️

Unfortunately, we didn't receive enough interest to move forward with our throwback jogger sets and additional items. We wanted to do things differently this time by leaving that decision up to our community rather than investing thousands into inventory and hoping it would sell. Thank you to everyone who showed interest and supported us!

With that being said, we've made the decision to officially close Casting Queens at the end of October.

Many of you have seen me put Casting Queens aside before, and if I'm being honest, there was always a part of me that couldn't seem to put it to rest. I'm not sure why, but this spring I decided to give it everything I had one more time. Partly to see if the business could become what I envisioned, but also to see if that passion I thought I still had was enough to keep going.

What I found over these last six months was that I'm just a different person than I was when I started Casting Queens in 2020.

Becoming a mom changes you. You lose a little bit of yourself, but in that same breath, you discover so much more about who you are. Your priorities change, and sometimes your dreams do too.

Running a clothing brand as one person is A LOT. From product development and manufacturers to inventory, marketing, website management, and everything in between. If I was going to bring Casting Queens back, I wanted to go ALL IN. But I've realized the time, energy, and sacrifice it would take just isn't something I find the same enjoyment in anymore.

And I think that's what I needed these last six months to figure out. Not whether Casting Queens could succeed, but whether it was still something I wanted to pursue.

I'm so proud of what we built and incredibly thankful for everyone who supported this dream over the years. Maybe the hardest part of letting go is realizing it's okay to want something different now.

This time, I feel like I can finally close this chapter with peace. ❤️

WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER! 🐔👑
We FINALLY decided on a sample, ladies!!

Most of you guessed we would go with the latest sample we received, and honestly, we thought so too! But after some careful consideration, while we were SO happy to finally receive a size small, the fabric quality and color just weren't quite what we envisioned for Casting Queens.

So, we're going back to the FIRST sample! 🎉 At the end of the day, we want to bring you something we're truly proud of. Cute is important, but quality matters just as much!

Now here's where YOU come in!

Our **PRE-SALE starts NEXT WEEK** and will only be open for **2 WEEKS!** These sets are being MADE TO ORDER, which means we need to meet our manufacturer's minimum order quantity before production can begin.

If we don't meet that minimum, all pre-orders will be fully refunded!

Our goal is to have these beauties in your hands **BEFORE CHRISTMAS!** 🎄 Of course, production and shipping timelines can vary, but that's what we're working toward!

We've done the sampling, made the changes, and picked our favorite. Now it's up to our Queendom to decide if these sets become a reality!

IMPORTANT CASTING QUEENS UPDATE 🎣👑

After a lot of thought, we’ve decided we will NOT be attending the St. Paul Ice Fishing Show this year.

The biggest reason? We don’t want to spend thousands of dollars guessing what you want, what sizes you need, and how much inventory we should have. We’d rather let YOU decide what actually gets made. So we’re doing things a little differently.

Our new collection will open for a **2-week order window. During those two weeks, we need to hit a minimum of 65 total orders** to move forward with production.

✅️If we hit 65 orders WE MAKE IT.
👎If we don’t hit 65 orders everyone gets their money refunded.

This gives us the chance to bring Casting Queens gear to life without sitting on a bunch of inventory you don’t want, while also making sure you can actually order YOUR size instead of hoping we still have it available at a show.This community has always been the heart of Casting Queens, so it only feels right that you get to decide what comes next.

Thank you for sticking with me through all the changes, pivots, crazy ideas, highs and lows. Building a small business is definitely not a straight line, but I’m incredibly thankful you’re still here on this journey with me. 💗

Okay please tell me I’m not the only one 😂🎣

I’ve been fishing basically my entire life, and I’ve heard people talk about barometric pressure a million times.

“The pressure is dropping.”
“High pressure today.”
“Fishing should be good before that front.”

Cool…except WHAT THE HECK IS BAROMETRIC PRESSURE?! 😂

So I’m finally learning.

Basically, barometric pressure is the pressure of the air around us. Air has weight, and it presses down on everything—including the water we’re fishing.

And when it comes to fishing, I’m learning that we want to pay attention to whether that pressure is falling, staying stable, or rising because changing weather conditions can affect fish behavior.

Now I need to figure out WHY air pressure affects fish underwater. 😂 That’s next!

Casting Queens isn’t about knowing everything about fishing. It’s about getting out there, learning, and becoming better anglers together. 💗🎣

Where are my girls who actually LOVE to fish? 🎣💕

And I don’t just mean the girls whose profile picture is them holding a fish 😂

I mean the girls working 9–5s.
The moms chasing toddlers all day.
The women who have a million things going on but will drop everything when someone says, “Wanna go fishing?”

Maybe you don’t get on the water every weekend. Maybe fishing has to fit somewhere between work, kids, laundry and real life.

But you LOVE it.

THOSE are the women I’m trying to find. 👑

Because I’m building Casting Queens for US — cute fishing gear and merch that actually feels like something we’d want to wear on AND off the water.
