Finished up night 2 of the Rooks County Speedway fair races around 11:30pm last night. The fans were absolutely packed to watch 95 race teams compete and the drivers didn't disappoint them. There were some great races, including Troy going from 5th to 1st in less than one lap during his heat race. Side-by-side racing and sliders were also on display. Hats off to the entire staff for an incredible night! Guys took home 4th and 6th, from 10th and 12th. Also congratulations to Tyler Watts and Tim Watts on being being the only father-son duo to take home wins in each of their respective divisions. While we never wish to finish outside 1 & 2, we did spot 2 pretty cute kids sporting our Burkhart Racing tees! Stay cool this weekend and we'll see you again trackside in just a few weeks at Boone Speedway.

Made the short trip to Stockton last night for night 1 of the Rooks County Speedway fair races. Although we didn't come home with a win this trip, the track was still incredibly good and we were pleased to see just over 90 cars on Thursday night. Guys ended up 5th and 7th. Tonight is an All Star Qualifier, so we're expecting more cars 🚗 will make the trip. Grab a friend and come on out!

The crew ventured to an old, yet completely new track Wednesday and Thursday just over an hour NE of Hays - Osborne County Speedway

Some interesting history:

🏁 Built: 1953
🏁 Track length: ½-mile dirt oval
🏁 Location: Osborne County Fairgrounds, Osborne, Kansas
🏁 It has hosted generations of stock car racing and remains one of the longest-standing fairgrounds dirt tracks in north-central Kansas

The track promoters did a phenomenal job of working tirelessly all day yesterday after receiving over an inch of rain overnight, and quite frankly helped prepare a very smooth, fast track. While we didn't come home with any wins, it was great to be a part of the many teams that supported this track for their re-opening as a 3/8 mile track. Results:

25X 3rd Wednesday 4th Thursday
2⁵⁰ 5th Wednesday

No additional plans to race this coming weekend, so good luck to all our race families that do venture to a track this weekend!
