πͺ Exercise of the Day: Dumbbell Goblet Squat!
For Kai Brown, Personal Trainer, the Dumbbell Goblet Squat is a favorite exercise to instruct because of the variety of ways it can be used. Itβs a great lower-body movement that can be incorporated into an individualβs progression or used as a testing parameter.
Try these cues for a strong goblet squat:
ποΈ Start with your feet about shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out, and knees slightly bent.
π£ Press through the balls of your feet and drive your knees in the direction of your toes to help prevent them from caving inward.
β¬οΈ Keep your chest up and shoulders back as you lower into the squat.
π At the bottom, drive through your feet to stand back up while maintaining good posture.
Bonus cue: Keep your eyes up! π This can help your body naturally adjust and maintain proper posture throughout the movement.
