Thank you for an incredible weekend! The weather was fantastic and the finish was just as good!
First, we now have a "Double Champ" here at OCCC. Melanie Simpson has won both the Senior Ladies Club Championship and the Ladies Club Championship. She holds both titles for the year of 2026! Shooting an 85, followed up with an 87, she cruised to a 9-shot victory.
Next, Ben Meredith went on a tear! Standing on 13 tee box, he asked if I thought he had a chance, only two shots back of the lead. I told him there was A LOT of golf left. He proceeded to go -5 on his next 3 holes. By the time he stood on 16 tee box he had a 3-shot lead. On 16,17, and 18 he made 3 stress free pars to retain his lead and win by 2 shots over Will Ashy. With a total score of -7 (Total- 135 for the weekend). After the round he mentioned that as he stood over his putt on 14 he knew he was going to make it.

I'd also like to thank my staff here. The golf course was in amazing shape all week. Trinity and the 19th hole we able to adapt to their situation and still provide great Member Service!
