Dear 2023,

Your weren’t what I wanted but you were everything I needed! I wanted to make more money but what I needed to learn was how to be more patient with the process of how you actually make money. I needed to learn to build relationships, I needed to learn how to become a better presenter, I needed to learn ALOT! I wanted to get rid of my anxiety and have it completely go away, that didn’t happen. What I needed to learn was to find meaning and gratitude in my suffering so I could help others to do the same! I wanted to get more validation from other people for my work. What I needed to learn was to validate and love myself unconditionally. I wanted to run a marathon without stopping but what I needed to learn was how to appreciate what I could do rather than focusing on perfection!

So if you find yourself saying that this was not the year you wanted or the experience you wanted, ask yourself, why is what you are experiencing what you need?! The answer will change your life! Let’s kick some ass in 2024- Love, Lucas

4 years later and 26.2 miles in the BOOKS yesterday at the Rock N Roll Marathon in San Diego and it never felt SO sweet!!!! I am still emotional today because I remember wondering if this was possible or even flat out STUPID! Thats what it feels like to go after a dream!

If you are wondering whether it’s worth it for you to continue paying the price for your dream, it’s WELL freaking worth it! Keep pushing, keep grinding and never stop until you get to that finish line. You will thank yourself later, pain is temporary and who you become in the process of achieving your dream is something no one can take from you! Keep chasing dreams, they can come true 🙌💪

Great seeing you in Chicago today !! One decade later out from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and we are still out here cooking up business for each other and hanging out! Gotta love it, ILL!

This is a SURREAL moment for me!! I’m officially BACK in the full marathon hunt as of today!! At times I was not sure if I would ever run a full marathon again after my first one in 2019.

I injured my feet 3 separate times including a bunion surgery and had a tough time recovering until I recently was able to be healthy for an extended period of time. 4 years later here I am.

If you are feeling like you will never achieve a goal that is meaningful to you because of injuries, life ect, remember that just because you are being DELAYED with setbacks does not mean you are being DENIED of achieving your goals.

The universe is giving you these setbacks to help you become the kind of person who can achieve your wildest dreams! Keep on trucking! See you at the finish line of the Rock N’Roll 🙌🙌
