🌊 Dear Windansea Surf Club Family, please keep Tim Hodgson in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏❤️ Tim is currently in the hospital after a health issue, and he could really use our love, support, and prayers as he focuses on healing and getting back on his feet.

Tim is our current Windansea Surf Club Man of the Year, and he has always been there for our Club and our community. Now it’s our turn to be there for him!

Windansea Surf Club – August General Meeting Reminder! 🌊
Reminder that today is our August General Meeting! We’ll meet at 6:00 PM at the PB VFW in Pacific Beach. Next month, we’ll try to hold our September meeting at a new venue.

We have a great lineup of updates tonight!

🏃‍♂️ St. Vincent de Paul Kids Day at the Beach
Adam Bloomberg, our St. Vincent de Paul Director, will give us an update on this fabulous event, now in its 40th year at La Jolla Shores! Robb Luscomb and Jon Roseman started this wonderful event for the Windansea Surf Club 40 years ago. Technically, it is the 38th running due to the interruption caused by COVID.

🏄‍♂️ Windansea Competition Team
Andy Prado will give us an update on our competition team, which just took 2nd Place at Oceanside in the event hosted with the Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club and the Coalition of Surfing Clubs. He’ll also recognize the competitors and their families who made this achievement possible.

🎗️ UCSD Cancer Benefit & Pancreatic Cancer Terminators
Andy will also share an update on the 33rd Annual UCSD Cancer Benefit at La Jolla Shores and the Pancreatic Cancer Terminators, who took 1st Place at this historic event.

It’s going to be a great evening with lots to celebrate and plenty of Windansea spirit!

🌊 WSC — 📣 August General Meeting is This Wednesday
A HUGE thank you to all our WSC club members and volunteers who helped make the 2026 Day at the Beach Summer Series such an incredible success! 🙌🏄‍♂️

Your time, energy, dedication, and generosity created an amazing experience for everyone who participated. These events simply would not happen without the incredible support of our WSC family. ❤️

And a very special thank you to Adam Bloomberg for his leadership and for somehow herding all the cats and keeping everything moving smoothly! 😎🐈‍⬛ Your hard work behind the scenes helped make these events go off as smoothly as they did.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who came together to make the 2026 summer series so special. Thank you, WSC! 🌊❤️

🌊🏄‍♂️ WINDANSEA SURF CLUB — KIDS DAY AT THE BEACH! 🌊❤️40 YEARS OF STOKE, COMMUNITY & GIVING BACK!
😃Windansea Surf Club is proud to continue one of our most meaningful traditions — St. Vincent de Paul Kids Day at the Beach, started by Jon Roseman and Robb Luscomb in 1986.

That’s 40 years of sharing the joy of surfing, the ocean, and the Windansea spirit with local kids. We couldn’t be more proud to carry this tradition forward. ❤️🌊

Our final DATB event of 2026 is this Saturday at La Jolla Shores, where we’ll welcome approximately 40 kids from the St. Vincent de Paul Center for a special day at the beach.

We’ll need plenty of WSC volunteers to make the day a success!

🌅 MORNING CREW
We’ll be getting there early, approximately 6:00–7:00 AM, to help with:
• Set-up
• Surf instruction
• Water safety
• Getting the kids ready for an unforgettable day in the ocean

☀️ AFTER-LUNCH CREW
We’ll also need volunteers later in the day for:
• Surf instruction
• Water safety
• Breaking down and cleaning up

Any support is welcome! With the summer crowds and the ongoing parking challenges at the Shores, getting there early will be especially important.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our regular volunteers who continue to show up year after year and keep the DATB stoke alive and thriving. 🙏❤️

Windansea, our last DATB event of 2026, is this Saturday at the Shores for about 40 kids from the St. Vincent de Paul center. This event was started in 1986, and it is something we at WSC are extremely proud of.

We are going to need a morning crew to help set up and provide surf instruction and water safety. Given the summer weather and the complete disaster that Shores parking lot is, we will get there early (between 6- 7 AM). We will also need an after-lunch crew for instruction and end-of-event clean up. Any support will be welcome.
