✨ Instructor Spotlight: Violet✨
For 17 years, yoga has been a steady part of Violet’s life—a practice that has been there to help her as she moves through life. What started from a place of curiosity has evolved into a deeper practice of self-awareness, acceptance, and connection. ♥️
For Violet, yoga continues to be an opportunity to explore the relationship between mind and body, while recognizing that what she can do physically doesn’t always reflect all the things she is capable of in life. One of her biggest lessons has been “understanding that trying means being in acceptance,” and learning to meet herself where she is each time she steps onto the mat. 🙏🏽
Over the years, she has also discovered the practice as a powerful form of expression and release. “My feelings, emotions and thoughts can be expressed through my practice as a form of release,” she says, allowing movement to become a way of processing, connecting, and making space for whatever lies beneath the surface. 🧘🏻♀️
For the past 6 years, Violet has shared that practice as an instructor at San Diego Yoga Center, where she has found a true sense of belonging. “Students and staff all make me feel at home.” It’s that feeling of connection and community that keeps her coming back—and we’re so grateful that she continues to bring her presence, perspective, and heart to the SDYC community. 🧡
