June 2001.
This photo was taken just 3 months before September 11, 2001. I was young, playing professional baseball, and like most of us, had no idea how much the world was about to change.
25 years later, I look at this picture differently. I remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger.
I also remember how united our country became afterward. 🇺🇸
25 years later, we still remember. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
